Wedding demo
This is a wedding demo for an August wedding. I have to say she has such a great spirit.
She wanted a very soft natural look so I decided with her beautiful green eyes I would choose golden browns and taupes. She loved it and instantly she felt so relax.

Hi everybody!
It's been so long since I've blogged but sometimes life can pull you in all sorts of directions..lol.
Well, I wanted to start today by doing a list of beauty tips. Now, in my opinion I feel that when women see the word "tips" we get curious and rightfully so, we're awesome like that. So here are a few of my tips to help with some beauty issues. Please feel free to ask, comment or share any of your wonderful advice for yourself.
These are not in any particular order just from the top of my head.
Hairspray:
Great for treating hair dye stains . If you should get hair dye on your shirt spray it with hairspray. Spot treat it immediately and wash. More often than not this will work. This an old hairstylist trick and has worked for me.
Olive oil:
Olive oil as a hot oil treatment? Oh yeah.. Warm some up in the microwave, pour it into an applicator bottle. Please be careful. Not too hot. 30 seconds should be good enough time. And message, message, message. Put a shower cap on, watch some drama on T.V and relax. You can leave it on for 5 minutes or 1 hour.. it's up to you. But don't sleep in it. You'll wake up all oily. lol
Olive oil and sugar another good one. Equal parts for me, just so you can form a paste. It's a great scrub for anything. You can use brown sugar as well but if you don't have no worries use regular white but please do try it.. it works the same. And make a fresh batch every time. Don't store some for next time. That's an experiment you might want to avoid. lol. This is a great tip especially for people who have dry skin. Scrub lips, elbow and ankles. It's so good.
Cocoa Butter:
Although it smells like coconut it's not coconut. It's made from the cocoa bean, like in chocolate and it's awesome!! So don't be fooled, I've seen it where they'll write on the package Cocobutter , it's not 100% Cocoa butter, I know it may sound silly what I'm saying but the product is not the same you won't get the same results.. promise. ;) This cream is wonderful.. it's miracle. You can use it as a night cream, for sun and dark spots, at night you can put some on your feet, put your socks on and I tell you, you'll notice a huge difference the next day. Do it for a week and you'll be getting pedi's a lot less, which saves you money which means you can spend it on other things you really like... like make up, clothes.. you know where I'm going with this right? lol There's a reason women have been passing on this cream down from generation to generation.. it works. And I do feel that the cream in the jar is better than the lotions.. it's concentrated.
Antibacterial Hand Sanitizer:
In the summer time deodorants don't work as well as they should, so I'll use hand sanitizers in addition to my deodorants and it works. I guess it kills the bacteria that causes you to smell and with the deodorant you'll be smelling fresh all day. However.. I don't recommend you do this after you've shaved but if you feel bold.. what are gonna do? I mean I've done it and it does sting a little but I can't say you'll feel the same way, plus you can really irritate the skin. So proceed with caution I'll have to say to you.
Vinegar:
I'll use vinegar once a moth as a build up remover treatment on my hair. Again put some in an applicator bottle, start from the roots and work it through out the hair. Leave it on for 5 minutes and shampoo 2x and condition. You won't believe how incredible your hair feels afterwards. And all your products work soo much better. I use white vinegar cause I don't like how the cider vinegar make my hair smell.
Please try these tips, they've worked for me and you save money! However I do say invest in a good facial cleanser, moisturizer and night cream. You don't have to spend a lot of money. I use Neutrogena Black Head scrub, it's really good and it doesn't dry out my face. And I'll also use Ponds Cream for dry skin... this cream all the women in my family use it and it's the only thing I'll use. I've tried other stuff it doesn't work for me, I've spent hundreds of dollars and nothing.. I'll alway go back to this routine. What I'm saying is this... if your using something no matter what price.. expensive or inexpensive, if it works, it works. We all get curious sometimes and we want to try new products and you should if you can but my feeling is this...if it ain't broke don't fix it.
And most importantly take care of your skin. Moisturize and cleanse everyday. The #1 question I get asked is "why am I breaking out?" and "I'll ask are you washing your face?" Take care of our skin, even if you have oily skin use a moisturizer, if it's too thick put a few drops of water in your hands with lotion or cream and mix it and apply it. Easy peasy.. Please write and tell me your ideas. I got my tips from experimenting and other generous people.. Till next time and thanks. ;)
Sincerely,
Meliza Volta
